  I have rented cars at over a dozen Hertz locations worldwide and have never had a problem until I came to this one. The woman behind the counter was extremely rude. I have a CDP to waive underage driver surcharge fees. Sometimes the system doesn't add the code, so the agent at the counter will manually add it. I've never had a problem with that, but at this location the girl with glasses in her mid-twenties argued with me about it and refused to put it in, even after I explained that I had had the same issue in Adelaide and the agent there got it resolved within minutes without a problem. The woman at this Darwin location really needs to work on her people skills, or at least pretend to fix the issue before flat out refusing to do anything to help.

  Charged me for refuelling when I refuelled 3km from airport. Came to an extra $100. Booked through a 3rd party so will be looking for a refund but this is bad service bordering on theft.

  Fees added at every turn and nothing was explained properly and they overcharged us double, which took 2 weeks to get refunded after 5 phone calls.

  In short, I recommend pretty much every other Hertz location, but stay clear of this one. There's plenty of other options to rent a car within meters of the Hertz counter.
